OUR COFFEE

Jacques’ love for coffee, which is a part of his French heritage, led him to San Juan del Rio Coco, where he regularly visits his friend at Green Haven Coffee Farm. Our coffee is a rich Aribicas bean, grown in Northern Nicaragua, at an elevation of 6000 feet. Coffee trees produce their best beans when grown at high altitudes in a tropical climate where there is rich soil. The worlds’ finest coffees are grown at an elevation of at least 4000 feet. Cooler mountain temperatures provide the coffee with a slower growth cycle. This prolonged bean development promotes more complex sugars, yielding beans with deeper more interesting flavours. The higher the altitude, the more distinct and flavourful the coffee will be. Our Fair Trade coffee is Certified Organic.
